Overview

Implementation Agency (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a one-person custom software studio operated by Jon Barrett, based in Chino Hills, California (San Bernardino County). This policy covers implementationagency.com and the application form on it.

This site is deliberately simple. There are no user accounts, no passwords, no logins, and no payment forms. The only place you can hand us personal information is the application form at /apply, and everything you enter there is emailed to Jon.

Questions? Email jon@implementationagency.com.

Information We Collect

Application Form

When you submit an application, we collect the answers you provide. Depending on which questions apply to you, that can include:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number
  • Your business name and website
  • What your business does, what you want built, and what would change if it existed
  • Who would use it, whether you’ve tried building it before, and where you got stuck
  • Must-haves and nice-to-haves for a first version, and the tools it would need to connect to (such as a CRM or email platform)
  • Your timing, budget readiness, and anything else you add
  • How you heard about us
  • Any link you share, and an optional file you choose to upload (a sketch, screenshot, document, or short video — up to 10 MB)

Only the fields you actually fill in are transmitted. The optional file upload is exactly that — optional.

Draft Answers Saved in Your Browser

While you are filling out the application, your in-progress answers are saved locally in your own browser’s storage so you don’t lose them if the page reloads. That draft never leaves your device until you press submit, and it is cleared once your application goes through. Uploaded files are never saved to the draft.

Usage Data

Like any website, this one generates ordinary technical data when you visit: pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and timing. We use this in aggregate to understand which pages are useful.

Email You Send Us

If you email us, we keep that correspondence so we can reply and keep track of the conversation.

What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect account passwords (there are no accounts). We do not collect or process payment card details on this website. We do not run an SMS or text message program — giving us your phone number on the application means we may call or text you about your application, nothing more. We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal information, and we ask that you not include any in your free-text answers or uploaded file.

How We Use Your Information

  • To read and evaluate your application
  • To reply to you — by email, and by phone if you gave us a number
  • To scope and quote a potential project, and to prepare for a conversation about it
  • To understand which pages of this site are working, in aggregate
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not add you to a marketing list because you applied.

Third Parties We Use

This site relies on a small number of service providers. They process data only as needed to perform their function.

Vercel — hosts this website and provides Vercel Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookie-free traffic measurement tool. Vercel processes server logs, request metadata, and aggregate page-view data as part of normal operations. All traffic is served over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Resend — a third-party email delivery API. When you submit an application, your answers and any attached file are sent through Resend as an email to Jon. Resend processes that message in order to deliver it.
PostHog — product analytics, used when configured. PostHog records page views and interaction events (for example, which buttons get clicked and where people abandon the application form) and stores an anonymous identifier in your browser’s localStorage so repeat visits can be recognized. If PostHog is not configured for this environment, no analytics events are sent at all.
Email — applications and your correspondence land in a standard business email inbox and are stored there under that provider’s terms.

There is no database on this site storing your application. It exists as an email in Jon’s inbox, plus whatever project notes are made from it.

Cookies and Local Storage

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. The browser storage this site uses is limited to:

  • Your in-progress application draft, saved in localStorage on your own device
  • A PostHog analytics identifier in localStorage, when PostHog is enabled

You can clear this at any time through your browser settings, and you can block analytics with a browser privacy setting or extension. Clearing storage may lose an unsubmitted application draft; nothing else on the site depends on it.

Data Retention

Applications are retained as email for as long as they are commercially useful — typically while we are in conversation and for a reasonable period afterward in case you come back. If we work together, project-related information is retained for the life of the engagement and for a reasonable period afterward for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of the analytics provider.

You can ask us to delete your application at any time — see below.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know or access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and how it was used
  • Delete — request that we delete your application and related personal information
  • Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Portability — request the information you gave us in a portable format
  • Object or restrict — object to or ask us to restrict certain processing
  • Opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, so there is nothing to opt out of
  • Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights

To exercise any of these, email jon@implementationagency.com. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity — usually by confirming you control the email address on the application.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, application data is transmitted over encrypted connections, and access to the inbox that receives applications is protected by strong authentication. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send passwords, API keys, account credentials, or financial account numbers through the application form. If a project requires access to your systems, we will arrange it through a proper credential-sharing method.

Children’s Privacy

This site is intended for adults (18+) running or building businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, email us and we will delete it.

International Visitors

We operate from the United States, and information you submit is processed and stored there. If you are located outside the United States, you are choosing to send your information to a US-based recipient.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
